Proposal

Most organizations required proposals from venders, suppliers to full fill there requirements and in most organization it’s a compulsory part of their purchases and selling. That’s why a proposal is a very important document which should be prepared with due care and according to a specific format because each proposal compete with thousands proposals.

What is Proposal?     

A document which is written in the response of a specific task. i.e                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Construction,  Book, Technical work, organizing Show, Building, Development, Networking, Event, Exhibition, Design, Sponsorship, designing Museum, Selling, construction of  Bridge, Roads, Parking, Structure, Plant’s, Clean up, Sanitation, etc.      

Purposes of proposal
                                       
The aim for which a proposal is written is the purpose of the proposal, thus a proposal is written for many purposes like;
  • To sell property such as an airplanes, machines, buildings
  • To construct parking structure, building, bridge, water systems, complete water plants,  highways etc
  • To survey water areas for possible oil fields
  • To plan and construct airport baggage conveyor system
  • And it may be small and large tasks of different verity  i.e
  • Construction,  Book, Technical work, organizing Show, Building, Development, Networking, Event, Exhibition, Design, Sponsorship, designing Museum, Selling, construction of  Bridge, Roads, Parking, Structure, Plant’s, Clean up, Sanitation's.

Kind of Proposal.  

Proposals can be divided into two kinds which are                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        1) Research Proposal   
       2)  Business Proposal.  

1) Research Proposal
A research proposal is usually academic in nature professors, and other scholars usually tries to write it ,for example if a professor in a university submit a proposal to the government for starting a new program in the commerce education like DIBE (Diploma in business ethics) for example if somebody submit the proposal to the government for changing on the prevalent syllabus of a specific subject, or the government announce any research title in a specific sector and the researcher apply to that and writ a proposal etc  

A research proposal is a document written by a scientist that describes in details the program for a proposed scientific investigation.

Research proposals are written for various reasons, such as budget request for the research they describe, certification requirements for research as from an institutional review board committee if the experiment is to be done.

2) Business Proposal.    

A proposal which is written for business purposes for buying and selling is called business proposal.

You may wonder that what proposals are? And why you are learning to write them. For example, a business plan, a type of proposal, is necessary to obtain financing if you wish to start your own business.       

Proposals are written offers to solve problems, provide services, or sell equipment. Some proposals are internal, often taking the form of justification and recommendation reports. Most proposals, however, are external and are a critical means of selling equipment and services that generate income for many companies. External proposals may be divided into two categories: solicited and unsolicited.                    
                           
 1) Solicited    
 2)  Unsolicited.

1) Solicited: A  proposal submitted in response of a tender or RFP ( request for proposal). Or  A proposal responding to a project concept originated by the funding source; usually the funding source invites all eligible organization. 

2) Unsolicited. A proposal sends out by the submitter or the supplier. or a proposal Written but informal bid, proposal, or quotation submitted on the initiative of the submitter and not in response to any formal or informal request.
